Ebony had a secret….
An ill-advised relationship with a married man in the church sent Ebony down a path of regret, which led to an unplanned pregnancy. When the pressure of being the pastor’s daughter and carrying a married man’s child weighs upon her, emotions flare. Shortly afterwards, she threatens to publicize the entire affair, deciding to bear the consequences of the matter.
After an untimely event, and unprecedented conviction, Ebony is forced to confess as she battles with thoughts of betrayal to God, the church, and herself.

Was this a novel or biography? The events that took place in this story happen so often in church that it is sad. As Ebony Rose told her story I wanted to feel sympathy for her, but I will admit most of the time I was angry with her. And then she would say some of the most profound things through her personal confessions that let you know none of us are exempt from falling prey to sin. Through those confessions I got to see a broken person who was in need of the love of our sweet Savior. They way Ebony opened up her heart to let people who are involved in sin know that they need to flee from it, was beautiful. She didn’t hold back or try to sugarcoat her experience. What she went through millions of people are going through now and Ebony let’s them know they are not alone and that they must repent and surrender to God to be made whole. The Pastor’s Daughter lets you know you can’t be holy if you are not whole.

“It is a Christian book but the messages contained within are not aimed solely at the Christian community. At one point during a confessional, Ebony asks that we not judge her and that is something that happens all too quickly these days – people being judged and tried before they have had a chance to tell their side. The characters were developed in such a way that it was easy to identify with them and the story line is one that is all too common these days.”

“A powerful message about living in sin, redemption, forgiveness, and renewal. There were many sermon bullets that ministered to me personally.”

“I found this to be an astonishing read discussing a situation that occurred involving Ebony Rose, the pastor’s daughter. In these few pages, serious issues were discussed-& although the content was heavy, the style in which it was delivered made this a smooth flowing read.”
“The Pastor’s Daughter is a testimony of what goes on in our churches today. Often times, we try to hide behind the suit and ties, the big hats and scarves, the music and so on. There’s so much that goes on in church but we’re too ashamed to call it out. Ebony was a great example of how she allowed her fleshy desires take her focus off of God. We all have sinned so there’s no room for judgment against anyone. I enjoyed reading this book and hearing Ebony’s testimony. This was an eye opener and I highly recommend everyone to read this, especially the saints.
