“What exactly do I have to do?” Michael asked with a frown. “Don’t play any games. Just give it to me straight.”
Dr. Bentest smiled and glanced over at his colleagues. “Michael, you have nothing to worry about. This formula has been tested and it exceeds our expectations. You will be a super solider with qualities second to none.” He placed a black folder down on the table. “Your mission is in this folder.”
“A mission?” Michael asked. “Do you mean like James Bond? I don’t know any martial arts nor have I ever handled a weapon. This sounds crazy.”
Dr. Bentest grinned. “Once you take this drug … I mean formula … your body with undergo a transformation and develop in to an extensive machine.”
Michael smiled. “You mean like a super-hero, right?”
Dr. Bentest shook his head. “No. You will be ‘super’ but you will not be a hero by any means.” He pointed around the room. “My colleagues will escort you to the back room where we will perform the second part of the procedure.”

In this follow-up to The Pastor’s Daughter, Ebony, the main character, provided the necessary background information concerning the relationship between she & Minister Franco. While it started off innocently, I do believe Franco had an underlying plan the entire time. From his initial approach with stories of his altercation with David, to his wife & their “dying relationship”, Ebony became the perfect target to discuss his unhappiness. Throughout the story, I could see the quicksand path in which Ebony was taking. While she was an adult and was no way forced, her caring & unsuspecting nature was to her disadvantage. Her family situation at the time seemed to make her more vulnerable & easier to influence. I felt this story was realistic & relatable in discussing various situations that could take place in church settings. This part was well written & easy to follow. I would like to thank T.K. Ware for my gifted copy of such an enlightening story.
A very transparent account of Ebony’s plight of how she got entangled with a married minister at her Father’s church. The path of how she allowed the desires of her flesh to sanction her to a life filled with misery and depressing thoughts. She clearly knew the ways of the Lord but the door was opened and the enemy crept in and the temptation became too much. I love this author’s work. He tackles realistic issues affecting the Body of Christ head on with the Scriptures. This was a real eye opener!
Ebony had a secret….
An ill-advised relationship with a married man in the church sent Ebony down a path of regret, which led to an unplanned pregnancy. When the pressure of being the pastor’s daughter and carrying a married man’s child weighs upon her, emotions flare. Shortly afterwards, she threatens to publicize the entire affair, deciding to bear the consequences of the matter.
After an untimely event, and unprecedented conviction, Ebony is forced to confess as she battles with thoughts of betrayal to God, the church, and herself.
