In this follow-up to The Pastor’s Daughter, Ebony, the main character, provided the necessary background information concerning the relationship between she & Minister Franco. While it started off innocently, I do believe Franco had an underlying plan the entire time. From his initial approach with stories of his altercation with David, to his wife & their “dying relationship”, Ebony became the perfect target to discuss his unhappiness. Throughout the story, I could see the quicksand path in which Ebony was taking. While she was an adult and was no way forced, her caring & unsuspecting nature was to her disadvantage. Her family situation at the time seemed to make her more vulnerable & easier to influence. I felt this story was realistic & relatable in discussing various situations that could take place in church settings. This part was well written & easy to follow. I would like to thank T.K. Ware for my gifted copy of such an enlightening story.
A very transparent account of Ebony’s plight of how she got entangled with a married minister at her Father’s church. The path of how she allowed the desires of her flesh to sanction her to a life filled with misery and depressing thoughts. She clearly knew the ways of the Lord but the door was opened and the enemy crept in and the temptation became too much. I love this author’s work. He tackles realistic issues affecting the Body of Christ head on with the Scriptures. This was a real eye opener!
